Big trees.
Safe hands.
Certified arborists and a landscape crew for Wilton and nearby towns. Tree work, lawn care and gardens, and we leave the yard cleaner than we found it.
Worried about a big tree?
Most trees give warning before they drop a limb or come down in a storm. These are the four signs we look for first.
-
Dead limbs over the roof
Bare, gray branches with no leaves in summer. They snap in the first strong wind.
-
A crack in the trunk
A split that runs up the bark, or a seam where two trunks meet in a tight V.
-
Mushrooms at the base
Shelf-like fungus on the trunk or roots usually means rot inside.
-
A lean that's getting worse
Soil lifting or cracking on one side shows the roots are letting go.
Every visit is with a certified arborist. Fully insured for $2 million, and we clean up every chip.
One backyard, one week apart.

“A huge oak was leaning toward our bedroom. Sam came out the same week, explained everything, and the crew took it down in pieces without touching the roof or the lawn.”
“They've done our lawn and beds for three years. Same crew every week, and they spot problems before we do.”
“After the October storm they had a limb off our driveway by 8 the next morning. The yard was raked cleaner than before it fell.”
Questions about your yard
Anything else, call (203) 555-0172 and a person answers.
Do I need a permit to take a tree down?
On your own land, usually not. Trees by the road or near wetlands can need the town's OK. We check before we start and handle the paperwork if one is needed.
My neighbor's tree hangs over my yard. What can I do?
In most cases you can trim branches back to the property line, as long as the tree stays healthy. We can look at it, talk to your neighbor with you, and do the work so the tree isn't harmed.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry $2 million in liability cover and workers' compensation for every crew member, and we send you the certificates before any job.
Do you grind the stump?
Yes. We grind it below the grass, fill the hole with soil, and can seed it so the lawn grows back over it.
What happens to the wood and leaves?
We take everything away, or leave the wood split and stacked for your fireplace if you'd like it. Leaves and chips go to compost.
